"My search for a better health journey started almost 2 years ago, when I started to have panic attacks overhearing my oncologist tell me that an Astrocytoma brain tumor that I had removed in 2016, started to grow back. The only “Treatments” they offered were Chemo or radiation. With my type of tumor, Chemo doesn’t show any scientific proof to help with the tumor and while radiation, does appear to help shrink the tumor, there is also a very high mortality rate 6 months after radiation due to other damages it causes in your brain. I am a healthy mother of 4, and besides this tumor, I have no other comorbidities. I decided to seek out to try to find a doctor to help me be a healthier me, and if it meant this tumor shrinking in the mean time, it would be a double win! I met with an Integrative Doctor 2 years ago, and with the help I received there, I was able to reduce my anxiety and stress and started to feel better physically and mentally. We quickly went into IV treatments once this was accomplished, as my MRI scans still showed growth in the tumor. We did a plan of 4 times a week for one month, then 3 times a week for one month. Then one time a week for a month. After this 3-month period, I had another MRI, and the tumor had stopped growing which was GREAT news! Finally, a good “clean” way of putting something into my body that helped a tumor to stop growing, but also kept me healthy and kept my immune system at optimal levels. While this would be my number one way to continue to do treatments, it is costly. My husband and I had to plan our finances to be able to do this, and at times it was a struggle, but we knew if we gave it a try and we can see a difference, it would be all worth it, and that it was! I since have gone back and had surgery to remove the tumor again in January, my recovery was remarkable and I was able to pull through with no complications and no deficits, which I give a lot of credit to how prepared my Integrative Doctor and staff had my body, both physically, by keeping healthy with IV treatments and diet, mentally by making sure I was able to keep grounded with my mental well-being as well. I will continue to do the IV treatments to keep my health at optimal level and help with prevention of the tumor coming back. I will not need to do as much as I did before, but I would MUCH rather do this than have Chemo or radiation be my only option on the table. I am SO grateful for my Integrative Doctor and staff during my health journey to find a healthier me!"
